Our Lawyers

Michael is an underwriting counsel for Morehead Title and founded the company in 2005. He has over 30 years of legal and title experience and is well respected for his experience in underwriting commercial and residential transactions. Michael’s legal career started with several years of private practice in commercial real estate in Charlotte and he later went on to work as underwriting counsel for two national underwriters and one agency prior to opening Morehead. Michael received his B.A. in Psychology from Swarthmore College and his J.D. from Wake Forest. Michael is a member of the North Carolina and Florida bars.  Michael has served two terms on the board of Relanc. When not working Michael enjoys playing golf, squash, pickleball and reading as well as traveling with friends and family.
